Family Portrait

O_o....

Coloring this in was so much harder than I originally intended. It really turned into one of those week long processes. But I learned my lesson- I will never, ever, start coloring a picture in before I ink it, because when there's no concrete lines, it turns out very badly, and takes forever to clean up.

Moving on! This is the picture that I started last week that made Takai decide I should open a deviantArt account ^.^ It was just a lineart then, and it turned out really well I think. I'm happy with it, just too exhausted to celebrate, hehe.

I was already exhausted by the time I got to doing the window part of the background so it turned into a crayon drawing. Takai was the one who suggested putting a tiny city outside our window, but I had a lot of trouble showing scale (because it's from a distance, and there's nothing to compare it to!) so I added a Gahzirra monster for random kicks. He appears confused. I'm not sure why.

In the picture with us is our Dog and our Cat, the latter of which has been sulking ever since the dog moved in. He's a brat.
