I'm excited to announce that commissions are now open!
Before we get to signups, I want to mention a few policy-type things, and how I'm going to try to handle them this time. (Of course, as patrons you all get first dibs. I'll post this to dA / Tumblr later tonight or tomorrow)
Let me know if you guys have any questions!
Signup by commenting here, or by sending me a message on Patreon or dA. The ones that do so first will get the first slots.
Once you get a slot, send me a message describing what you're interested in getting. We'll work out the details, and I'll send you an invoice through PayPal, half of which needs to be paid upfront.
I'll send you work-in-progress pictures throughout the process. Please try to bring any revisions or feedback to my attention as early in the process as you can. I'm absolutely happy to make any changes you need, but if you ask me to redraw the whole picture when we're already mostly through with coloring it, we might need to talk about the cost of the modifications.
Once you're happy with the finished product, you'll pay whatever's left on the invoice, and (as long as you're okay with it) I'll post the finished picture! Then I'll reopen the slot, make a little announcement and whoever wants it can jump in and grab it!
And now, without further ado:

One day I'll buy a commission, one day -3-
Well shoot, nevermind. ;w;
By the dubs, consider raising prices if they filled this ludicrously fast.
Here's hoping I can get a slot in the foreseeable future!
However, I am curious about what you mean by the extra costs. Is it based on just asking to add them or how much work would have to go into them?
Keep in mind, it will take a lot for me to come back and say that we need to talk about the price. It's really just there for protection from that 'Death from a thousand cuts' situation. I took one commission, way, way back when, where I actually made less than one dollar an hour on it due to changes and demands from the client. This clause is specifically there to stop that.
I suppose in the end one could just ask while requesting the commission if including this character or that kind of background would invoke the extra charge and decide from there if they want to go with it... (hopefully that came out right... )
A) I'm nearly broke
B) All slots are taken
C) I had one with you two in mind
Next time, perhaps.
You can become not nearly broke when he's next open, so you can get a fancier one
Some artists pick and choose, which can be frustrating (but is their right).
Some alternate times, but if it is only open once every so 'often', and you miss the time that is good for you, it becomes frustrating for it being a looong wait till next chance. Same with regular times.
Some just keep a set number of slots and open the old ones as the new ones are done. Kinda works and gets it out of being a scheduled 'event'. Dunno.
Some raise prices, which is fair, but can drive audience away (and it's not like it works to just move them up and down regularly).
